I'm delighted with this overshirt by GFW. I'm usually a Charlie or a Billie and this fits me just fine. It's long enough to cover my bum and it has lovely BIG pockets that often come in handy!
My only very minor criticism is that it looks more brown in daylight than red, I was expecting more of a wine type colour but it's still good! I still love it and it goes with all the black tees and pants I wear haha. I think one like this in a dark blue would be awesome too.
I've gor a few gfw shirts and i didn't know what to expect with this new product, but its really nice. The fabric is a canvas but lightweight. The shape is good on me and love the buttons.
Was excited to see this as a new offering from GFW. Love the shirts and now am a fan of this over shirt. It doesn't come in all the different body shapes (I'm an Alex) but it doesn't need to as is designed to be oversized and has vents for my hips. Great for Spring and Summer.
I've been a fan of GFW Clothing for years and have raved about their garments' great craftsmanship, which is why I was so shocked by this jacket's poor quality. This product is not up to their usual standards. It's make out of incredibly thin, wrinkle-prone material that I could see through when holding it close to my eyes. This results in a very light garment that, contrary to the item description, feels like a very flimsy dryer sheet. Additionally, I noticed lots of loose seams and less-than-ideal stitching, which bodes poorly for the jacket's durability long-term. I love the color, silhouette, and pockets, but the quality is too poor to justify the price point. I'd only recommend this jacket if you're looking for a very thin garment to wear on special occasions. Hoping that these issues can be resolved with future batches.

The overshirt is made from a canvas weave which is a looser weave but is not delicate and is good for general wear and washing. We do state on the product listing that it is 148gsm and to be used as an extra layer, if the impression was given that it was a jacket rather than an overshirt we need to go back and look at the wording as it is not our intention to mislead. Regarding the loose threads, factory does have a quality control department but it looks like your shirt got overlooked on this occasion. If you would like to send the shirt back to us we of course, will issue a full refund, and we will refund the postage, we will then be able to examine it to assess whether there are any defects with the fabric manufacturing.
