About GFW Clothing - Unisex Shirts
Our shirts are designed with a neutral sensibility to fit body shape. A looser cut with left over right buttoning and a hidden bust button to avoid gaping in the chest area. They can be called unisex, but we know one size does not fit all, which is why we have 4 body shape fits per shirt design.
Our Story
GFW Clothing was founded in 2015 (part of Gender Free World Ltd) by a little group of like-minded individuals who passionately believe that we all have the right to wear well fitting clothing which suits our style choices. We love shirts and we know what a great feeling it is, when you wear something that fits you well. Attention to detail is an essential part of our design process , choice of cuffs to allow cuff links, a spread or pointed collar - this is what excites when we design our collections.
GFW Shirts. Why are we unique?
People's bodies are all different, in addition to height and size there are variations in hips, bottoms, shoulders and chest sizes. One size does not fit all.
After extensive research we have created our shirts in 4 body shape templates: Alex, Billie, Charlie, Drew and these ranges accommodate those variations.
Alex: wider hips.
Billie: for much larger busts.
Charlie: shoulders and hips similar proportions.
Drew: for those with broad shoulders, narrow hips and longer bodies.
See sizing guide to get the best fit for your body shape. Unisex does not mean a shapeless baggy hoodie. Look great in an aesthetic that suits your style and a shirt that fits your body.
Production ethics and sustainability
Our partners are a small, bespoke Turkish textile shirt making factory, who have a team of master shirt makers. Their policies, ethics, small scale manufacturing and friendly approach aligns with GFW values and they have been SEDEX certified. The shirts are crafted using finest quality cotton weaves, ethically sourced by our textile mill supplier.
Only making limited productions a year means that the order runs will be bigger; it results in more efficient use of fabrics, less airplane freight journeys. We are only making clothes that have a demand - no excess to potentially go landfill.
We acknowledge that fashion has a large environmental footprint and we will seek to minimise ours where we can.
GFW values

2. Equality: love who you like regardless of their biology or gender.
3. Quality: made to last and with attention to detail.
4. Fair Made: we do due diligence on all our suppliers, We guarantee no sweatshop conditions or child labour.
